Nerja selected in the Travelers’ Choice of TripAdvisor
Nerja is the only Spanish destination selected by the travel website TripAdvisor on its list of the ten best emerging destinations in the world, within the framework of the sixth edition of the Travelers’ Choice awards granted by this company.
The awards highlight 44 destinations from around the world selected using an algorithm that measures the increase over previous year of the positive opinions of travelers on TripAdvisor in accommodations, restaurants and places of interest, as well as the increase in interest in searches and reservations. This is the sixth year in which these awards are held. Travelers’ Choice Emerging Destinations also cover regions such as the United States, Asia and South America.
In the case of the European list prepared for these same prizes of emerging destinations, Nerja occupies the fourth position and together with Cádiz, which has achieved the eighth place, they are the only Spanish cities selected.
TripAdvisor highlights the Balcón de Europa of this municipality, which offers “breathtaking views of the Mediterranean”, its sandy beaches and cliffs full of coves and the Nerja Cave, which stands out for its “peculiar stalactites and stalagmites and for its Paleolithic paintings”.
In Nerja the first 3 places in the ranking are occupied by our Tiptop Escapes apartments.
